The in-house counsel will be constantly required to think and act as a strategic business partner who can help the leadership teams to run their businesses, being involved in the key strategic decisions, as well as in the reading of the environment where the company operates, always alert to emerging risks and opportunities.

The emerging regulations on ESG, the ever-changing political scenarios, inflation, multiple stakeholders, are all essential elements that have influenced business operations and require legal counsel to be well connected.
If you had to give advice to an aspiring in-house lawyer or general counsel, what would it be and why?
