Team Services

BTO’s team has accredited specialists in both Intellectual Property and Data Protection, making BTO one of the best placed teams in Scotland to advise on IP matters.

It works in a range of business sectors (including technology, energy and renewables, recruitment, engineering, drinks, retail, hospitality, creative industries, social housing and local government) for clients ranging from sole traders and individuals to multinational plcs.

As specialists in both contentious and non-contentious matters, the team can provide  representation at every stage of its clients’ journeys.

It is well known for advising on large deals on both contractual and compliance matters where it has the skills and resources to advise on intellectual property, technology, data protection and commercial issues.

Having a Solicitor Advocate at the helm of the team, who often appears in the supreme civil courts to argue contentious IP matters, means that continuity of representation can result in savings of time and expense, as well as giving clients very quick reaction times.
