Stephen and Marc are ably supported by Practice Manager Sam Cook  and Practice Manager Mia Riches  who are both essential to the success of our Clerks’ Room.  Jointly they market and promote our advocates to ensure their practice is developed logically and they are recommended for the cases which match their expertise.

Rachel Hawkes is our Chambers Administrator who has responsibility for the management of all administrative, financial and operational aspects of Chambers.  Rachel works closely with the clerking team with regards to chambers’ marketing strategy.

As a team, the clerks are efficient, personable and client focused. They are committed to the consistent provision of a high-quality service based on their extensive knowledge and experience.  Their responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• scheduling advocates meetings/conferences
• negotiating fees on behalf of your barristers
• suggesting particular barristers for cases according to their set practice areas and experience
• marketing and developing the business of members to maintain the supply of work and to constantly build/develop their practices
• maintaining excellent client relationships with those that instruct
• being aware of compliance matters and ensuring systems are current and accurate
