Richard joined Chambers in 2005 as junior fees clerk bringing with him his debt chasing and financial knowledge from his time with Eversheds solicitors.
Richard has a natural talent for numbers and patterns and this saw him rapidly become Chambers Fees Clerk and in 2015 he took over the roll of Chambers Administration.
During his time as Fees Clerk Richard was pivotal in communicating the numerous changes that have taken place with regards to Criminal And Family fees, this communication extended to the MOJ who used Richards figures as a demonstration of the impacts changes would have on Chambers. Richard is also happy to discuss queries and bounce ideas off his peers around the country when the need arises.
Richard has an excellent working knowledge of the Graduated Fee Scheme for both Defence and Prosecution and also the FGF and FAS schemes and in an effort to share the knowledge and assist other he produced and continues to maintain www.graduatedfees.co.uk, an invaluable resource linking to all current and past fees regimes.
As Chambers Administrator Richard continues with the management of all chambers fees together with the prudent management of chambers finances and supplier contracts, ensuring maximum value for chambers and its members, he has forged strong relationships with numerous suppliers and continues to ensure chambers runs efficiently.
Richard has continued to improve his financial knowledge and is a level 2 qualified bookkeeper and associate member of the IAB and also a member of the Institute of Barristers Clerks
