Team Services

Our dynamic Intellectual Property Department handles the full spectrum of intellectual property (“IP”) matters — both contentious and non-contentious ranging from registration and transactions to dispute resolution and enforcement.

Our local and international clients consist of globally recognised brands in a wide range of industries including luxury fashion, telecommunications, automobile, confectionary, healthcare, hospitality, music recording labels, tertiary education, defence and security, sports, information technology and e-commerce.

For non-contentious works, we assist our clients to register domestic and international trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and copyrights. We also advise our clients on branding strategies to manage, defend, commercially exploit, and enforce their IP rights effectively and efficiently. These include assisting our clients to draft, review, and negotiate various licensing agreements, assignments, policies and other IP-related agreements.

For contentious works, we represent clients at all tiers of the Courts on all disputes relating to IP including infringements, passing-off, breach of confidence, unlawful interference with trade and domain name disputes. We have a good track record in successfully obtaining legal remedies ranging from interim injunctions, damages, account of profits, and/or statutory damages. We also assist clients to devise anti-counterfeiting programs and strategise systematic raids.

Further, we are consistently in touch with the growing trends in IP such as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Blockchain technology, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and Cloud Computing, and we are well versed with the legal issues associated with them.

We have been consistently recognised and ranked by prestigious industry publications such as Legal 500 and Chambers Asia Pacific.
