The long-established Licensing team at Trethowans are known nationally for combining licensing expertise and efficiency with a friendly, approachable and first-class service. The team acts for a wide variety of UK leisure operators including both multi-site national and independent operators of restaurants, pubs and bars, sports facilities, hotels, bingo operators and football clubs. Key clients include recognised international brands such as Pizza Hut, Nando’s, Chelsea FC and Goals Soccer Centres.

The specialist licensing team has considerable experience of applying for both new and variations of premises licences within developments throughout England & Wales.

The team have been heavily involved in applying for Business & Planning Act Pavement Licences which were introduced by the government to assist the recovery of hospitality following the COVID lockdowns. In addition, they have extensive experience of applications for Tables and Chairs Licences under the Highways Act. The team are well versed in managing large multi-site estates (some running to well over 400 venues) to ensure smooth transition of DPS from site to site.

The team are members of the Institute of Licensing and the British Institute of Innkeeping.
