Market leader Herbert Smith Freehills handles a range of corporate and technology-based transactions, covering digital transformations, data privacy, investigations, data forensics and dispute management for tech companies. Julian Lincoln heads the practice, working particularly with IP data protection issues for clients within the tech sector, as well as the government sector. The practice is also home to Peter Jones, who has over 25 years of experience handling TMT transactions across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, as well as Kwok Tang, who deals with global tech clients and advises on emerging technologies such as AI and drones. Tony Joyner has recently stepped down as global head of the tech team and now leads the firm’s WA TMT practice.
