Tatjana Katalan (née Dworak) is co-head of the Public Law practice group and specializes in environmental and sustainability law. She primarily advises on large-scale projects, in particular in the field of renewables. She is a recognized expert in regulatory and administrative law concerning Environmental Impact Assessment proceedings (UVP-G), water, nature conservation, construction, regional planning, regulated trades, and forestry. In addition, she advises on proceedings under the Mineral Resources Act and under hospital and pharmacy law. She is a certified CSR and sustainability officer and supports companies, public corporations, and municipalities in the legal and strategic introduction of sustainability criteria and the implementation of sustainability measures (CSR, SDG, ESG). When advising public corporations, she also attaches particular importance to introducing, implementing, and maintaining compliance guidelines. She regularly gives lectures and is a permanent speaker for the Austrian Real Estate Association and for the Lawyers’ Academy. She also serves on the management board of “Forum Naturschutz und Wirtschaft Kärnten,” an organization for sustainable management.
