Work highlights

  • Advised the Farmers Union on the issue of a letter of formal notice to the Flemish Region regarding the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027 strategic plan, represented the client in subsequent legal proceedings before the court of first instance, and advised the client on the "programmatic approach to nitrogen developed by the Flemish government with a view to gradually reducing nitrogen emissions and depositions in Flanders.
  • Assisting the Port of Antwerp-Bruges on expansion known as the Complex Project Extra Container Capacity.
  • Represented the European Investment Bank in appeal proceedings lodged by ClientEarth before the European Court of Justice related to the question whether financing decisions of the EIB should by assessed in light of European Environmental Law and whether the Aarhus Regulation applies to the EIB when acting as a bank.
