In addition to the team’s unrivalled M&A capabilities, its practitioners are also seasoned in financing and capital markets deals, privatisations, regulatory matters and litigation. A go-to destination for power producers, distribution and transmission companies, traders, service providers and financiers, the department has recently experienced an uptick in mandates concerning US dollar-indexed power purchase agreements (PPAs), self-production and renewable energy projects. The group also offers representation in administrative proceedings before the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the main regulatory agencies in the country, including ANEEL.
