Work highlights
- Assisted the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) with the setting up of the Green Coalition, an initiative proposed jointly and co-led by IADB and BNDES, which comprises 20 development financial institutions, 17 public development banks from different jurisdictions and 3 multilateral financial institutions, for the funding of up to $20bn of reforestation projects in the Amazon region.
- Acted as counsel to AEGEA and Águas do Rio in the financing of the water supply and sewage system in the state of Rio de Janeiro in a transaction that involved various financing sources, including the issuance of infrastructure debentures, financing from BNDES, financing from Caixa Econômica Federal through the "Saneamento para Todos" programme, and financing from the Inter-American Development Bank, with guarantee from Proparco.
