Work highlights
- Local legal advisor to White & Case LLP in investment arbitration before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, Washington D.C. in relation to an expropriation of an investment - 70% of the shares in Kovin mine.
- Advises and represents a number of owners of hydroelectric power stations on complex cases initiated under the State and Municipality Responsibility for Damages Act. The claim is against the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission as a respondent for payment of damages in the form of a lost income, caused by unlawful acts of the administrative body.
- Represented TPP Bobov Dol EAD against Alpiq Energy CE. Alpiq Energy CE filed a claim against TPP Bobov Dol for EUR 15 mln of a payment under ISDA master agreement. They successfully represented the customer and the case ended with out of court settlement.
