In April 2024, Toronto-based dispute resolution boutique Tyr LLP formed a new IP litigation practice through a series of strategic hires. Most notably, new department head Melanie Baird joined from Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP along with senior associate Cole Meagher, who was later promoted to partner. Additionally, Amy Grenon arrived from Aird & Berlis LLP. The team has hit the ground running, demonstrating particularly strong activity in the life sciences space.
