The department at Stikeman Elliott LLP routinely handles restructuring proceedings across Canada, and acts for companies, court officers, lenders and purchasers of assets in insolvency proceedings. The group’s cross-border know-how covers both Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings. A trio of partners co-heads the group: Elizabeth Pillon in Toronto; Guy Martel in Montreal, whose practice has a strong focus on cross-border and international transactions; and Calgary-based senior counsel Karen Fellowes KC, who heads the Western Canada restructuring group.
