The 15-strong banking and finance group at Bofill Mir Abogados has significant experience in advising on major domestic and cross-border financing transactions, particularly in relation to the mining, infrastructure, real estate, insurance, private equity and energy sectors. The team fields experts in a range of corporate financing work, including acquisition and project finance, along with bilateral, syndicated and structured loan transactions. It is also routinely mandated to assist with substantial refinancing and restructuring matters. Recent highlights saw the practice advise Global Soluciones Financieras (ad hoc bond holders) on complex debt restructuring issues; and act for Banco Security and Penta Vida Compañía de Seguros de Vida (as creditors) on the structuring of a financing agreement. The department is co-led by highly-rated name partner Octavio Bofill, who is consistently involved in multilateral corporate and project financings at both local and international levels; and banking and finance transactions specialist Rodrigo Saffirio.
