With ‘vast experience in IP’, Dentons’s nine-member group is experienced in building, protecting, exploiting and defending clients’ IP assets in Chile and other Latin American countries. Its workload covers both patents and trade marks, along with licensing and technology transfers. The team is also increasingly active in relation to technology surveillance for patents, know-how, and inventions involving new technologies (software, AI, machine learning and big data). The department is co-led by intellectual and industrial property specialist Maria Carolina Del Rio, whose practice includes trade mark and patent prosecution and litigation; and Maria Mercedes Londoño, who has extensive experience in the strategic management of IP assets.
