The six-member labour and employment practice at Garrigues Chile is experienced in hiring, compensation, benefits, human resources-related issues, and M&A-related labour matters (at both local and international levels). The group also assists with collective bargaining processes, interactions with unions, anti-union practices and unfair practices; while in addition to the firm’s growing immigration practice, the team also acts in labour litigation involving dismissals and employee claims. Although covering the full range of labour and employment matters, Bárbara Vera has particularly notable collective labour law expertise. In the associate pool, principal Juan Ignacio Chamorro, senior Ricardo Eckardt and María José Cristi Larraín all specialise in labour law work.
