The public law and regulated markets team at full-service firm Guerrero Olivos is ‘simply outstanding for its analysis, proposals and understanding of the issues’. The 11-strong group acts for private, publicly listed, and state-owned companies from the mining, oil and gas, power, public utilities and aquaculture sectors. The client base also covers the financial services, real estate, construction and telecoms industries. The department advises on the full spectrum of administrative and constitutional law issues, ranging from defence-side public law litigation, judicial reviews, and public bids and public procurement matters, to representing clients before various regulatory bodies and assisting with administrative procedures to obtain or extend approvals. The practice is co-led by Eduardo Cordero, a constitutional and administrative lawyer who advises regulated and non-regulated entities on regulatory procedures and transactional work; and administrative litigation and public procurement specialist José Gabriel Undurraga, whose experience includes advising Antofagasta Minerals on project-related public law issues. The group further includes senior counsel Rosa Fernanda Gómez, an expert in administrative law penalties, along with urban, environmental and municipal law; and senior associate and regulatory and public law practitioner, Roberto Burgos, who frequently advises on public procurement, litigation and transactional mandates that feature administrative law issues.
