The eight-member team at boutique law firm Garfias & Cía provides tax law advice to both family offices and business groups, and is particularly active in the food, real estate, tourism, financial investment and technology sectors. It is also increasingly involved in the legal wealth management and international taxation aspects of overseas investments. Co-heading the practice, founding partner and tax law and outbound-investment specialist, Gonzalo Garfias, is a former Allende Bascuñán & Cía partner; and Andrés Bustos (‘great business vision’) and Pablo Ibáñez are both tax law and corporate reorganisations experts. At senior associate level, Pablo Betteley is an experienced tax lawyer, while Pilar Donoso is currently studying an international taxation LLM at King’s College in London.
