Apparcel Uriarte Abogados’ VC team is sought out by local start-ups looking to expand beyond Chile, as well as international start-ups that wish to solidify their domestic standing. The ‘very reliable’ seven-strong group assists companies and entrepreneurs with corporate restructuring-related financings and the negotiation of financing rounds and exits. The department is also experienced in advising VC funds on due diligence and investment document negotiations. The practice is jointly headed by Matias Apparcel, a former entrepreneur at Start-up Chile (a public accelerator for start-ups); and Consuelo Mackenna, who is experienced in fintech, banking, financial, corporate and securities regulations.
