Norton Rose Fulbright‘s China insurance practice provides advice on non-contentious matters across the insurance and reinsurance spectrum. The practice encompasses assistance with business establishment issues and strategic investments, along with commercial, corporate and M&A matters. Other key areas of strength are data privacy and cybersecurity, directors’ and officers’ insurance, insurtech, licensing, compliance, and warranty and indemnity insurance. The China insurance practice is led by Shanghai-based Ai Tong, who was raised to partner level in January 2023. Tong’s experience includes advising on both transactions and regulatory matters that involve investments in China by foreign financial institutions, including insurers, reinsurers and insurance intermediaries. Tong additionally advises on the regulatory aspects of financial products’ distribution and resale networks.
