Work highlights

  • Advised Norwegian energy major Equinor on all aspects of the acquisition of the full ownership of Danish solar developer BeGreen, which has established a project pipeline of over 6GW in Denmark, Sweden and Poland.
  • Advised Thor Wind Farm I/S (affiliate to RWE Renewables Sweden AB) on all aspects of the continued development of the largest offshore wind park in Denmark, Thor, which included advice on the concession agreement with the Danish Energy Agency and the inter array cable contract.

Niklas Korsgaard Christensen is the Managing Partner of Plesner and advises on the implementation of large complex projects, transfers and dispute resolution in the practice areas energy, infrastructure and construction. Niklas has special expertise in the practice areas energy, infrastructure and construction and advises on the implementation of large projects, the transfer of such projects and dispute resolution. Niklas is a certified arbitrator and holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge. He has considerable teaching experience and has been an external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen. Niklas is the Managing Partner of Plesner (since March 2021) and a member of Plesner's Board of Director (since 2018).

Maria Holst Levin is a partner in Plesner's Energy & Infrastructure team and is known for her commercial and solution-oriented approach. Maria's work focuses on the energy sector, and she is primarily involved in project development, joint ventures, M&A, energy law, licenses and commercial contracts. Her work also includes ESG issues. Maria is chairperson of the Association of Danish Law Firm's Climate Committee. She has extensive lecturing experience, including from the board leadership training programme at CBS - Copenhagen Business School and as an external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen.
