Bird & Bird‘s finance and financial regulation department’s services include handling acquisition, project and real estate financings, venture debt matters, mezzanine finance work, and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on payment work. The team is engaged by both lenders and, in particular, borrowers, and advises local and international regulated and non-regulated payment service providers, banks and corporates. Practice co-head Kristiina Lehvilä has vast experience in financing transactions, while fellow co-head Jori Taipale is experienced in cross-border and domestic M&A and finance matters.
