The IP litigation department at Bird & Bird is headed up by Henri Kaikkonen, who ‘masters the legal issues relating to patents’, trade mark and unfair business practice disputes, brand protection work, and IP licensing agreements. The team frequently acts in trade mark disputes and enforcement work (areas of focus for Mikko Nurmisto), R&D and licensing issues, trade mark portfolios and disputes, as well as patent infringements. Henri Kaikkonen is a partner in Bird & Bird's Helsinki office and Head of our Finnish Intellectual Property Group. His focus areas are contentious IP matters, brand protection and commercialization of digital assets. Henri has extensive experience in contentious IP and Tech matters. Having represented clients in all kinds of IPR infringement and invalidation actions, preliminary injunctions and IP related damages claims, he focuses on contentious trademark, patent and unfair business practices disputes. His litigation expertise also covers trade secrets, copyrights, database rights, marketing, consumer protection, technology transfers and distressed IT projects.
