Non-conventional trade marks, such as 3D and colour trade marks, form the core of Gleiss Lutz' practice, although it also possesses deep expertise in IP rights within the digital space; here, the group advises media companies and consumer goods manufacturers on issues relating to the metaverse and social media. Alongside digital transformation matters, the team is further experienced in classic trade mark issues, portfolio management and strategic advice, including collision monitoring and trade mark registrations. Stefan Weidert is active across the interface to health and competition law and also frequently involved in technology-related transactions; he jointly leads the practice with Stefan Völker, who assists clients with strategic matters and trade mark disputes.
