Taylor Wessing focuses on the mid-cap segment and offers support in traditional PE transactions as well as acquisitions, restructurings, exits, buy-and-build strategies and management participations. The team is experienced in advising portfolio shareholders and investors; the latter was among the recent growth areas. Maria Weiers (buy-outs and exits) and Michael Stein (buy-and-build strategies for financial investors) jointly lead the practice, which regularly advises across the life sciences, healthcare and technology sectors. The team was recently strengthened with the addition of Sven Schweneke (carve-out transactions and group restructurings) from Norton Rose Fulbright in June 2024 and the appointment of Marcel Leines (buy-outs and exits) to partner in January 2024.
