Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP primarily acts across the mid-cap segment and regularly advises US financial investors, US software investors as well as sovereign wealth funds and major PE houses; clients benefit from a cross-location approach, where the team frequently cooperates with the locations in London and the US. Since the departure of former co-head Oliver Duys (real estate portfolio transactions, founding and restructuring of funds) to Herbert Smith Freehills LLP in January 2025, Christoph Brenner (leveraged buy-outs, minority participations and management buy-outs) is the sole practice head. Christoph Rödter (technology and life sciences sectors) moved to PwC Legal (PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft) in February 2024, while Johannes Rüberg, who supports strategic investors and financial investors in M&A transactions, was appointed to partner in January 2024.
