Jones Day follows a cross-location approach and advises investors, unicorns and venture capital funds on financing rounds for start-up investments, as well as on buy-out transactions and carve-outs. The team has expertise in future-oriented topics, particularly in the fintech, medtech, renewable energies and digitisation segments. The practice is jointly led by Ansgar Rempp, who advises on private equity transactions, and Ivo Posluschny, who is experienced in financing rounds and VC investments. The team was strengthened in 2023 with the additions of Michael Bartosch and Michelle Karrer in August from Baker McKenzie, as well as Georgios-Victor Petanidis in September from HauckSchuchardt.
