With the addition of a three-strong team from Dentons in January 2024, Pinsent Masons Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater Solicitors Partnerschaft mbB was able to expand its state aid offering: in addition to assisting universities and research institutions with state-aid financed large-scale research projects, in particular concerning climate-neutral industrial transformations - with Anke Empting being the key contact for this - the practice now also handles matters in the infrastructure sector that concern digitalisation and sustainability . Empting jointly heads the practice with EU, procurement and state aid expert Andreas Haak, who joined the team together with Lars Hettich (procurement law) and Barbara Thiemann (EU state aid law). Due to this expansion of expertise, the team now advises not only federal, state and local authorities, but also high-profile national and international companies on the entire spectrum of state aid issues.
