At Jones Day, Alexander Ballmann took over the role of practice head from Olaf Benning in November 2023, the latter switched to the of counsel position and remains on the team. The practice has a traditional focus on the automotive sector but increasingly advises clients from the technology and life sciences industries. Ballmann joined the team at the same time as counsel Anna Geissler from Ashurst LLP and, like Benning, advises on restructuring, distressed M&A transactions and insolvency proceedings; cross-border matters are also covered by the team.
