Partner Fotodotis is an expert in advising businesses on tax efficient structures, liability to all forms of direct and indirect taxes, reporting and compliance and individuals and families on lifetime and post death tax planning and the tax aspects of the management of private and corporate wealth. He also advises on the tax considerations affecting corporate transactions and commercial agreements, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures and distribution agreements, with a focus on compliance issues, the distribution and capitalisation of reserves and legislation offering tax incentives. He has conducted numerous tax due diligence reviews and represents clients before the Dispute Resolution Directorate and the administrative courts in relation to disputed liability cases. Fotodotis teaches a postgraduate course on Tax Law at the Athens University of Economics and Business. Prior to joining the Firm in 2014, Fotodotis worked as a tax consultant with Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young and was acting head of the Tax Department of Heracles Cement & Concrete Group, a member of the Lafarge Group. He has been extensively published in tax and financial journals and is author of Digital Economy and Current Tax Practices, 1st edition (2019) and Taxation of Non-Profit Organisations, 1st (2012) and 2nd (2016) editions and contributing author to Income Tax Code (2024), Code for Tax Procedures: Interpretation and Accounting Issues 1st (2016) and 2nd (2021) editions, all published by Nomiki Vivliothiki.
