Litigation is a mainstay at BUFELCO Bufete López Cordero's long-established IP practice, which handles a high volume of trademark nullity, cancellation and unfair competition claims on behalf of an extensive roster of multinational clients. The team is also well versed in anti-counterfeiting actions (particularly for clients in the retail and personal care sectors), and its practice extends to criminal IP litigation and the seizure of counterfeit goods. On the advisory front, the department is predominantly active in trademark prosecutions, licensing and the IP aspects of transactions. Managing partner Guillermo López Davis, who is widely recognised for his broad IP experience, leads the team alongside recently appointed partner Iris García King.
