  • Advised Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) on its sale to EQT. The transaction brought together EQT with BPEA. Under the terms of the deal, BPEA received 191.2 m new ordinary EQT shares and €1.6 bn in cash. BPEA EQT now has private equity teams based in Beijing, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
  • Advised KKR in its investment in Ruichen Pet Hospital Group Co., Ltd., a Chinese pet hospital chain. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Ruichen provides pet-focused medical services that include healthcare, laboratory diagnosis, grooming and pet products.
  • Advised KKR in its investment in ZJLD Group Inc., the company that owns Guizhou Zhen Liquor Brewing Co., Ltd., the brewer of Zhenjiu, a liquor brewed by Moutai technicians. The firm worked closely with local counsel and specialists (including tax, anti-trust and FCPA experts) on a thorough due diligence and transaction documents drafting and review.
