Work highlights

Advised Huginn ehf. and Vinnslustodin hf. (VSV), owners of the fishing vessel “Huginn”, and their insurers VIS and The Shipowners Club on claims for damage to water pipe and cable to the Westman Islands caused by the vessel's anchor, with the main issue being whether the clients can limit their liability under the Icelandic Maritime Act and LLMC Convention (1996 Protocol).
Advised the Icelandic Coast Guard on the salvage of the cargo vessel “Wilson Skaw” and negotiations of a salvage reward and/or special compensation for preventing damage to the environment under the Icelandic Maritime Act.
Advised Icelandair ehf., the Icelandic flag carrier, in a series of transactions in the introduction of the Boeing 737MAX 8/9 type aircraft into its fleet as well as the introduction of Airbus A321 type aircraft.
