Arthur Cox‘s asset finance practice largely centres on aviation leasing and finance. The firm has a global reach with offices in Dublin, Belfast, London, New York, and San Francisco. Its asset finance team advises a range of major leasing platforms, along with a number of new entrants to the market. Ruth Lillis has made a further impression in representing clients in establishing new aviation leasing platforms in Ireland, while continuing to represent airlines, large financial institutions and alternative lenders in substantial aviation financings, including distressed transactions. Fintan Kerins is another prominent team member.

Work highlights

Advised AviLease on the acquisition and financing of Standard Chartered’s Irish situated aircraft leasing business for $3.6bn.
Advised Amergin Aviation on the establishment of its Irish aviation platform, the purchase of a portfolio of aircraft from Blackstone backed Valkyrie Aviation and a subsequent significant refinance of the platform with Deutsche Bank.
Advised Aviator Capital on a financing with Deutsche Bank secured on a portfolio of sixteen aircraft.
