Ogier‘s multi-faceted team advises primarily lender-side clients on a host of loan facilities, including fund, real estate, and acquisition financing, in addition to assisting issuers on high yield bond financings. Acted for a major global financial institution in relation to the appointment of a receiver over the leasehold interest in the Festival Place Shopping Centre in Basingstoke, held by the trustees of a Jersey property unit trust.
Advised a global bank in relation to the £300m bridge facility loan to support a leveraged buyout of Wagamama owner, The Restaurant Group Plc, following an agreement by Apollo Global Management, Inc. to a take-private deal with TRG.
Provided Jersey and Luxembourg law advice in relation to financing provided to the Polaris Group, which owns or sought to acquire key commercial properties in the UK leased to established British brands such as Boots, Whirlpool and the Royal Mail.
