Kennedys is a global insurance giant that has committed considerable effort and resources into developing a large Latin America practice. With multiple offices in the region itself, the Miami office operates as a hub for the region. The Miami team has continued to develop its standing in cyber risk and is building out its incident response capabilities, in part by leveraging the firm’s global capabilities in this area; it also remains active in financial lines and has achieved further growth in political risk insurance. Surety cases are another growth area. In addition, the group has expanded its practice in line with the growth of the reinsurance market in the city, with an increase in regulatory and compliance engagements, corporate and employment work. Dual-qualified (Spain/England and Wales) Alex Guillamont and regional managing partner Anna Weiss are the key contacts for the firm's Latin America and Caribbean practice (both are foreign legal consultants and as such, do not practice Florida law).
