Headquartered in Miami and with a further office in New York, PAG Law specialises in venture capital, start-up and emerging company work in Latin America. Noted for early-stage financings through to M&A and initial public offerings (IPOs), along with venture capital fund formation, the fast-expanding firm continues to make an ever-greater impression in the market. It is gaining further traction in fintech, blockchain and digital assets, along with biotech, software, e-commerce and proptech. Although best known for representing venture capital funds and emerging companies, the firm also advises a growing number of family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and corporates on their investments in the region, especially in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico; Brazil remains its primary market. Almost half of the firm’s lawyers have lived and practised law in Latin America. Juan Pablo Cappello is a prominent figure in Latin America growth company matters and is a founder and director of Tiendas 3B, the Mexican retailer, which carried out a landmark $700m IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2024, a transaction on which he advised the board of directors. Lizbeth Flores is another founding partner with a background in venture capital financings and corporate transactions in Brazil and throughout Latin America. Esteban Elias previously practised in Chile and continues to have a sizeable focus on the country. The team has been reinforced by the arrival of Clara Krivoy in New York; Krivoy is the former head of Latin America at Brown Rudnick LLP and a specialist in blockchain and digital assets.
