Sidley Austin LLP‘s Miami office continues to establish itself in the Latin America market, particularly in emerging company and venture capital transactions. With a primary focus on Brazil, Mexico and Colombia, the team remains active in strategic investments, joint-ventures and disposals, and works closely with other offices across the US as necessary, notably fund formation specialists in New York, such as Alyssa Grikscheit. Axel Miranda is a senior managing associate in the team and has had a key role in many of the Miami office’s notable Latin America engagements. Since publication, former practice head Juan Delgado has left the firm – effective as of January 2025.
