Sidley Austin LLP's Miami office continues to establish itself in the Latin America market, particularly in emerging company and venture capital transactions. Following the hire of Juan Delgado in August 2022, the office has represented SoftBank Latin America Fund on a series of investments, including some of the largest-ever venture funding rounds in the region. With a primary focus on Brazil, Mexico and Colombia, the team remains active in strategic investments, joint-ventures and disposals, and works closely with other offices across the US as necessary, notably fund formation specialists in New York, such as Alyssa Grikscheit. Axel Miranda is a senior managing associate in the team and has had a key role in many of the Miami office’s notable Latin America engagements.
