Stephen Hood & Partners is an international project finance boutique based in Sao Paulo, founded by English law and New York law partners. It has ‘an exceptional commitment to making transactions go ahead’ and much of the firm’s work centres on energy and infrastructure, with Brazil being its primary focus. Founding partner Stephen Hood has decades of experience at top international law firms and has spent some 25 years focused on Latin America with much of that based in São Paulo. Along with growth across the region, the firm has also expanded its presence in project bonds. It now advises a range of banks and Brazilian corporates, and continues to advise a number of major clients that the two founding partners previously represented while at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. The other founding partner Rebecca Roman is New York qualified and has advised on a series of major project financings in Brazil.
