WALLESS' energy practice, working out of the competition and regulatory team, has vast experience in energy law, particularly in the renewable energy sector. Furthermore, away from the energy sector, the group assists numerous clients such as municipalities and retail chains in navigating energy matters and developing renewable energy initiatives. The team is led by the experienced Laura Ziferman, with key support from  Vaidotas Puklevicius, who has particular expertise in energy storage, and onshore and offshore wind energy developments.

Work highlights

  • Advised Kaunas City in preparing and conducting tender procedures and awarding a concession contract for S.Darius and S.Girėnas Stadium and Kaunas Sport Hall.
  • Advised and assisted State Entity Ignalinos atominė elektrinė in a public tender for awarding a public works contract regarding Surface Disposal for Low and Medium Radioactive Short-Life Waste Works, a part of Ignalina’s Nuclear Power Plant Decommissioning project, including in related litigations and addressing issues concerning national security interests.
  • Advised and represented Energy Cells, UAB (EPSO-G group company) in a project with a consortium of Siemens Energy and Fluence as the contractor for building 4 energy storage battery parks in Lithuania.
