Salzedo KC is also leading Kyle Lawson in representing PrivatBank in a claim against PwC for audit negligence arising out of an alleged fraud. Thomas Plewman KC is acting for Deloitte in claims against the auditors of companies involved in the international trading of fish, a case which raises significant issues as to proof of fraudulent trading schemes and the limits of liability under Hong Kong law as to non-domestic companies. Tom Adam KC and Chandrachud are acting in claims brought against a tax barrister who had acted as adviser to the promoters of a series of tax-avoidance schemes sold to wealthy investors in the early 2000s which failed, resulting in HMRC pursuing investors for the tax they had underpaid.
