Richard Hornshaw leads Akin’s London litigation group and the Firm’s international disputes practice. He primarily acts for investment firms and a range of other financial institutions on high-value, complex and cross-border disputes and focuses his practice on finance and securities law matters, as well as distressed debt, insolvency and restructuring situations and shareholder activism. He has experience in conducting and resolving disputes—both in arbitration and litigation—in the United Kingdom and elsewhere around the world. Richard qualified as a Solicitor Advocate in 2002 and is also qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong, where he previously practiced. Richard is a CEDR accredited mediator.
