  • Represented (as co-counsel) the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in seeking the annulment of an award rendered in favour of Tethyan Copper Company.
  • Representing HSBC in a potential investment treaty claim against the Republic of El Salvador under the UK-El Salvador bilateral investment Treaty, the claim relating to an El Salvadorian subsidiary of HSBC, which sought to enforce a loan agreement against a defaulting borrower in El Salvador.
  • Representing Enagas in a $350m ICSID arbitration against Peru, in relation to certain measures adopted by Peru that limit Enagas’ right to transfer dividends abroad.
