Global dispute resolution group chair Ben Knowles, who  specialises in commercial and investor-state arbitration, has particular experience in the energy, aviation, telecoms, and trade and commodities sectors. Loukas Mistelis, who also regularly sits as an arbitrator, is experienced in ad hoc and ICC, ICSID, LCIA, UNCITRAL, GCC and SCC cases. The group also includes energy sector expert Richard Power and Emma Ager, the ’go-to person for Bermuda Form work’. Milena Szuniewicz-Wenzel is an expert in oil and gas-related production sharing agreements, and Lee Bacon acts in both institutional and ad hoc arbitrations in the energy, natural resources, insurance and reinsurance sectors. Commercial arbitration specialists Tom Roberts and Felipe Sperandio, along with Ian Hopkinson, whose ‘ability to establish a clear rapport with tribunals impresses clients’, were all made partners in May 2024. David Hesse, Simon Schooling and Edward Hamilton all left the firm during 2023.
