Addleshaw Goddard's growing trade finance practice works closely with the firm's regional focus groups, particularly the Africa Group, and also its sector focus areas, notably retail and consumer, to handle an increasing volume of domestic and cross-border transactions. Lead partner Mike Davison, who calls on a team of trade finance litigators and transactional lawyers in Edinburgh, Manchester and Leeds, recently acted for Jubilant Pharma in a $400m structured trade finance deal with Standard Chartered. Managing associate Batsho Nthoi, who joined the London office from Standard Chartered, brings extensive expertise in international trade finance transactions, particularly the distribution of receivables under large syndicated offerings.
