A&O Shearman

More informationMore information

Leveraging resources across its vast international network, as well being able to access market-leading broader capital markets, restructuring and tax offerings, A&O Shearman is well-positioned to advise creditors and debtors across the broad spectrum of transactions, often involving sophisticated debt products. Paul Nelson leads on the aviation front, and is particularly effective advising on complex highly structured transactions, including recent work, in a difficult economic/geo-political environment, for several airlines as issuers in relation to enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETC) capital markets transactions. Harry Upcott is particularly effective at advising aviation lessors on financings, as well as on portfolio transactions. Kevin Young has broad finance expertise for commercial banks, ECAs and operators across a wide range of new money deals and restructurings, both in the conventional shipping space, as well as in the off-shore sector. Jonathan Bevan heads the rail group and advises lenders and sponsors on high-profile acquisitions, divestments and refinancings. Mario Jacovides recently retired from the partnership, although he is still providing some input on an ad-hoc basis in his role as a consultant.
