Following the retirement of former practice head Alex Amos in early 2023, the real estate funds practice at Macfarlanes LLP, which sits as part of the firm’s wider investment management group offering, is now led by Harriet Miller. The team continues to act for investment management firms, investors and service providers on the formation, marketing and operation of all types of private funds. Miller has strong international experience, having previously practised in New York. She handles structuring and fundraising matters and is part of the firm’s private funds ESG group. Key practitioner Andrew Hughes is recommended for real estate transactions, including investments and the disposal of assets. Stephen Ross joined the firm from Sidley Austin LLP in January 2023.
