With a ‘great deal of real estate asset knowledge’, Clifford Chance LLP handles headquarter transactions for both occupiers and landlords based in the capital. The team is also reputed for its expertise in Canary Wharf headquarter projects, direct and indirect investment, joint ventures as well as urban regenerations. Head of the London real estate team, Nigel Howorth has notable strength in energy-related matters including power station developments. Adrian Levy is proficient in domestic and cross-border real estate corporate finance transactions, while Angela Kearns, Alis Pay and Mark Payne are geared to handle foreign investment mandates. Ian Painter enjoys a strong reputation in the capital’s development and healthcare markets and Matt Taylor is knowledgeable of landlord and tenant matters. Melissa Jones is entrusted by investors, occupiers and sovereign wealth funds, and Marianne Toghill heads the UK real estate construction team.
